Garden Designers, Changing Landscape

WATERBURY — The Mattatuck Museum Arts & History Center, 144 West Main Street, will present its 6th Annual Garden Lecture & Luncheon on Saturday, April 1.

Virginia Small, an award-winning journalist and a former senior editor of Fine Gardening magazine, will deliver the lecture, “Garden Designers Who Changed the American Landscape.” The lecture will begin at 11 am and it will combine threads of culture, economics and social movements to focus on some of the country’s most important designers and the impact they have had on gardening design.

Tickets are $20 for the lecture ($15 for museum members), or $35 for the lecture and optional luncheon in the Museum Café ($30 for members). Call 203-753-0381 extension 10 for lunch selections and to make a reservation.
