Women’s Center Will Begin Divorce Support Group

DANBURY — Registration is being accepted for the free and confidential divorce and separation support group conducted by the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury. The group will meet for seven weeks beginning Thursday, April 13.

The group, designed for adults contemplating, going through, or recently divorced, explores such topics as the mourning process of divorce, self-esteem, coping strategies for stress, anger and loneliness, and moving beyond the divorce.

The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, and major life transitions to thousands of women, children, and men annually.

The programs are supported by state and local government, area United Way agencies, and the people and businesses in the communities the center serves including Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Warren, and Washington.
