Moms Groups

Moms of Multiples next meet on Friday, April 29, at the Methodist Church Hall from 10 to 11 am. There is no charge for this group.

Parents Groups

Newtown Parent Connection — Visit the Parent Connection website at www.newtownparentconnection.org for further information.

Hope And Support Group — Parents with questions or concerns about their child’s possible or confirmed involvements with substances are invited to attend the Hope and Support Group. Meetings are Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Parents’ Corner. All are welcome.

Youth Programs

Super Sitters — Next session will be held on Tuesdays, April 26, May 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 3:15 to 4:45 pm. Cost is $40, which includes all materials and snack. These classes tend to fill quickly so register soon!

HSYAB will meet on Monday, April 11 and April 25, at 5:30 pm. HSYAB Scholarship forms are available in the high school Career Center. They need to be returned to NYS by May 2.

MSYAB will meet Monday, April 11, in Room A-10 at the middle school from 2:15 to 3:30. Please watch for pertinent emails regarding a field trip.

NYCAAP Aids Awareness group for high school students — Meets Wednesdays at 7:30 pm at NYS.

WIRED (formerly NO SUDS) will meet Thursdays at NHS from 2 to 3 pm in Room A-111.

Children of Divorce — Grades 1 through 6 usually meets first and third Monday of the month; due to spring break, the only April meeting is April 11, 6 to 7:15 pm.  May 2 and May 16 will be the final meetings. This is an interactive group using tools such as games and art therapy. Call for further information.

SibShops — Grades 1 through 6. Usually meets the last Monday of the month from 5 to 7 pm. Meetings are ongoing through May. The next meeting will be April 25. Due to scheduling conflicts, the May meeting will be Wednesday, May 18.

There is no fee for either Children of Divorce or SibShops.
