Caring For Neighbors

To the Editor:

The children of Winifred LeWare wish to extend our most sincere appreciation to all her friends, neighbors, and health care professionals who enabled our mother to live her remaining days to the fullest.

Dr Robert Ruxin was always there to provide exemplary professional medical care and service, without which, would not have allowed her to enjoy an extended life.

Donald Bates and staff at the Newtown Drug Center provided service above and beyond all expectations in rendering immediate response to medical supply needs. He and his staff were always there to meet our requests in caring for our mother.

Selena and Andrea of Home Instead provided unconditional love, care, and support. Our mother would not have been able to remain in her own home without them, for which we will always be grateful.

The Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut consistently demonstrated an unparalleled level of caring and counsel regardless of time. We will be forever thankful for the support given our family.

We wish to offer a special thanks to the Newtown Ambulance Association and The Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire Department for their immediate response and level of medical care when called upon.

Our mother was blessed to have had so many fine friends and caring neighbors who so freely gave of their time during and following her illness and passing. The family will always cherish their friendship.

The citizens of Newtown should be so very proud of the quality of professional services as well as the incalculable importance of neighbors taking care of neighbors.

Again, thanks you to all.

Sincerely,

The LeWare Family

Marsha, Bentley, and David
