Spirit Of Women Has Room For Men, Too
NEW MILFORD â Join New Milford Hospital for its inaugural Spirit of Women member event in the hospitalâs main lobby on Thursday, April 14, from 9 am to noon. Spirit of Women is a national health program designed to better engage women in their own health and wellness along with their families. Programs and events have a fun, entertaining spirit to provide a new way to experience health care education.
Participants can participate in free heart risk assessments, pre-diabetes screening, and talk with breast health advocates. Throughout the event, members of the radiology staff will provide tours of the newest state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment available for patients at New Milford Hospital. This will include the safest, fastest, and best MRI and low-dose CT scanning technology available. From 11 am to noon, the public is invited to participate in tours of the recently installed radiation oncology linear accelerator, providing faster treatment, increased comfort, and pinpoint precision.
While New Milford Hospitalâs Spirit of Women program is designed to promote womenâs health, men are also invited to participate in this event and benefit from the information shared.
Health teas and nutritious snacks will be available throughout the event. This event is free, open to the public, and registration is not required.
