Town Players Rehearsing Spring Production Of ‘12 Angry Men’

Director Alexis Vournazos has a full cast of 13 actors in rehearsals for Town Players of Newtown’s spring production.

12 Angry Men will open at The Little Theatre, 18 Orchard Hill Road, on Friday, April 14, and continue weekends to Saturday, April 29.

The cast for the drama features Aaron Kaplan as Juror 1, the foreman and an assistant football coach outside the jury room; Gary Kline as Juror 2, a shy bank clerk; Bob Lussier as Juror 3, a small business owner; Brian DeToma as Juror 4, a stockbroker; Steve Taliaferro as Juror 5, a medical worker; and Gus Bottazzi as Juror 6, a house painter happy to keep the deliberations continuing.

It also features Ray Szwec as Juror 7, a marmalade seller concerned with getting to a ball game on time; Michael Wright as Juror 8, an architect who is initially the only person to vote Not Guilty; Mark Ferguson as Juror 9, an elderly man who admires Juror 8’s sense of justice; Rich Molinaro as Juror 10, who condemns the defendant as “one of them” from the start; Eric Greenfield as Juror 11, a German immigrant watchmaker; Vincent LaRusso as Juror 12, who works for a marketing agency; and Peter McLoughlin as Guard.

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8, and Sunday afternoons, April 16 and 23, at 2 pm. There is also a Thursday evening performance planned for April 27.

Tickets are $25 for Friday and Saturday evenings, and $20 for the matinees and Thursday evening shows.
