Steele Helps St. Thomas More Win Title

Courtney Steele (fourth from left, in back), a 2000 graduate of Newtown High School, helped the St. Thomas More ‘A’ team repeat as New England Prep School champions with an 89-82 win over Bridgton Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is the fourth time in 10 years the Chancellors have won the title. Courtney, who finished his Newtown High career fifth on the all-time scoring chart (only to be bumped down to sixth this year by former teammate John Fiscella) is the son of Gary and Mona Steele of Newtown.
