Soloist will be Sharon Goodkowsky and Philip Crevier will be at the keyboards. Rev Gordon’s study on “The Book of Psalms” continues after the service in the sanctuary. Tuesday night candlelight mediation will continue this week at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary. Maundy Thursday service will be April 8 in the sanctuary. The Adult Choir will sing “It is Midnight.” Good Friday, April 9, the sanctuary will be open all day for quiet time and reflection and there will be a service at 7:30 that evening, “Last Seven Words of Christ,” in the sanctuary for prayers and meditation.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Danbury holds two Sunday Services, at 9 and 11 am, in Alumni Hall on the campus of Western Connecticut State University. On Sunday, April 4, Rev Linda Hansen will lead “Passion About Death or Life?,” an examination of the meaning of suffering in general, and where our own “passions” lie. This seems a good day on which to think about all this — it is Palm Sunday and thus the beginning of Holy Week for Christians, and Passover begins for the Jewish community. Religious Education for pre-first through ninth graders is available at the 9 service; the Senior High Youth Group meets during the 11 service; and child care for young children is available during both services.
