Westover Summer Program In Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY — Westover School will offer Westover’s Summer Programs, an exciting, challenging, and enjoyable summer program for girls currently in sixth, seventh, or eighth grade, and interested in the arts, academics, or athletics. The school will be offering the camp in two sessions; Session I is running July 18–23 and Session II is July 25–30.

Campers will live in the school dorms. The program will build on the previous foundation of its popular Women in Science and Engineering and Drama summer camps. This year, the camp will offer 11 areas of focus that include: Women in Science and Engineering, offering hands-on experience in math, science, and computer science; Drama, offering staging, theatrical makeup, costuming, and set-building; Dance, offering a fusion of essential dance elements and rhythmic adventures; Photography, culminating with the students’ own gallery show; Painting with oil on canvas; Creative Writing combined with a bookmaking project; Model United Nations as an introduction to the United Nations, including a field trip to New York; and four sports selections: basketball, squash, volleyball, and soccer.

This camp, for girls only, will nurture campers’ creativity and promote confidence-building skills. Campers will participate in hands-on activities during the day and exciting afternoon and evening activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, and talent show competitions. Interested families may contact Camp Director Kristin White at Westover School at kwhite@westoverschool.org or by phone at 203-758-2423.
