St Rose of Lima School hosted a Passport Day on Thursday, March 16, as part of the school's International Week, recognized March 13 to 17.

For the Passport Day, organized by St Rose teacher Katelyn Doane, seven classrooms were turned into countries. Classes toured the "countries" by spending time in each room completing activities. Ms Doane said the students had 15 minutes in each classroom to complete activities. Parent volunteers were available in each room to help with the activities.

In celebration of Madagascar, Ms Doane led students in decorating paper plates with colorful yarn in one classroom.

In another classroom, parent volunteer Connie Carey shared a brief history of the Olympic Games in honor of Greece. She then demonstrated how the students would create Olympic torches out of paper.

In "Portugal" students decorated paper sail boats and more. In "Peru" students created friendship bracelets and decorated paper llamas.

Other activities during International Week included guest speakers and an International Dinner on Wednesday, March 15, in the school's Gathering Hall with food inspired by countries from around the world.
