Former Newtown Youth Lacrosse Siblings Ryan And Tyler Bigham Meet On Collegiate Field
Brothers Ryan and Tyler Bigham, former Newtown Youth Lacrosse players and high school teammates at Trinity Pawling School in Trinity Pawling, NY, were reunited on the field during a recent game between their collegiate teams.
Ryan is a senior at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Tyler is a sophomore at Rochester Institute of Technology.
The teams met on March 8 and host RIT won 12-6 despite two goals and an assist by Ryan. RIT, heading into the weekend, has a record of 5-3 and RPI was 4-3 heading into the middle of this week.
Ryan plays midfield attack and Tyler is a midfield defensive player.
Ryan is a mechanical engineering major at RPI. He played in all 15 games last year and recorded 7 goals and 3 assists. He has 5 goals and 4 assists in seven games played this spring.
Tyler is a mechanical engineering technology major at RIT.
A goalie last season, Tyler was named to the Empire 8 Athletic Conference Presidentâs List for maintaining a 3.75 grade point average.
