Landscape In Watercolor

The Focus Of Next SCAN Program

Robert Noreika of Rocky Hill will demonstrate painting a landscape in watercolor during the next meeting of The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) on Wednesday, April 8, at 7:30 pm.

Mr Noreika’s subjects are varied, including expressive coastal scenes and intimate woodland and countryside pictorials. The program will take place at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street. The public is invited, free of charge.

Mr Noreika is a prominent watercolorist and illustrator whose paintings hang in many corporate and private collections throughout the US, Europe and Japan. His technical expertise was featured in Artists Magazine in April 1998.

He was awarded first prize in the National Casein and Acrylic Show in 2005 as well as first prize in the Connecticut Watercolor Society Members show in 2005. He received the Gold Medal Founders Award from the CT Plein Air Painters Society and holds Artist Membership in the Salmagundi Club in New York City.

Mr Noreika teaches and lectures throughout New England, where he is represented in numerous galleries.
