Meta Kahn Gellert, 87, of Fairfield, died March 29. She was the wife of the late Fred Gellert. Mrs Gellert was born in Germany, and at the age of 13 emigrated to the United States, settling in Nashville, Tenn.

Mrs Gellert is survived by two devoted sons, Dr Henry Gellert and his wife, Bea, of Newtown and Larry Gellert and his wife, Ellen; and five grandchildren.

Services were held April 2.

The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, Fairfield, was in care of the arrangements.
