Young Models From Newtown Will Populate Mother Earth Fashion Show
BETHEL â A New Beginning Salon & Day Spa of Bethel is taking to the runway to debut its Mother Earth Fashion Show on Monday, April 6, from 7 to 9 pm. The special event will be at Three Oaks at Capellaros, 42 Vail Road, as part of their annual Earth Month fundraising campaign to benefit Clean Ocean Action.
Among those taking center stage as models will be Newtown residents Cora Udiskey from Newtown Middle School, Justice Zoto of Head OâMeadow School, Nina Bonvini of Middle Gate School, and Laura Bittman, Lauren Hanulik and Jennifer Spanedda of Newtown High School.
More than a dozen other community members, volunteers and supporters of Clean Ocean Action throughout the greater Danbury area will also be modeling fashions provided by Touch of Class of Simsbury, and Flavours of Life, a fair trade and green boutique in New London. The event will showcase a collection of casual and formal earth-friendly clothing for men, women and children.
Radio personality Pam Brooks of WRKI (i95) will emcee the event. Highlights will also include environmentally friendly exhibitors, hors dâoeuvres, Earth Month drink specials, shopping, 50/50 raffle and door prizes.
General admission is $20. VIP reserved tickets are $50, which includes front row seating, complimentary champagne, chocolate truffles and an earth manicure provided by A New Beginning. Seating is limited; reserve tickets by calling 743-9795.
