Michael S. Lucas, Sr

Michael S. Lucas, Sr, 58, of Walnut Street, Seymour, died March 30 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the husband of Constance (Brogan) Lucas.

He was the stepbrother of Michael Lucas, Jr, of Sandy Hook.

Mr Lucas was born December 20, 1941, in Bridgeport, son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Csorba) Lucas. He was a Seymour resident for the past 20 years. He was a self-employed construction contractor for many years, and was a former employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, Bridgeport. He was active in volunteer work as a scoutmaster with the Housatonic Council Boy Scouts of America, and was instrumental in improving many area Scout camps. He was also an avid gardener.

Besides his wife and stepbrother, he leaves two sons, Michael Lucas, Jr, of Bridgeport and Stephen Lucas of Southbury; a daughter, Michele Lucas of Seymour; three stepsons, Robert Fiero of Bethel, Kenneth Fiero of Seymour, and Michael Fiero of Little Rock; a brother, Paul Lucas of Palm Bay, Fla.; a sister, Carol Tkacs and her husband, Raymond, of Bridgeport; a stepsister, Ethel Powell of Lantana, Fla.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held April 3 in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment was at the convenience of the family.
