Understanding Special Education

BETHEL — Western Connecticut Association for Human Rights (WeCAHR) will present “Understanding Special Education,” a workshop for parents, Saturday, April 19. Cost is $10 per person.

The workshop will run from 9 am to 3:30 pm; registration will open at 8:45. Topics to be covered will include special education law, the IEP, parent observations and organization; goals, objectives, modifications, and accommodations; transition, advocacy and partnership, and best outcome.

The workshop will be presented at Ability Beyond Disability, first floor conference room. ABD is at 4 Berkshire Drive.

Breakfast, coffee, lunch, and beverages will be provided. Childcare stipends and scholarships are available, but please note there will not be any child care on site. WeCAHR is a CEU provider.

Space is limited so reservations are strongly suggested. Call Linda Rietschel at 792-3540 for reservations or additional information.
