Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, will be celebrated at the 10:30 am Sunday service. Palms will be distributed to all at worship. Sunday school and Bible classes will be held at 9 am. The annual Palm Sunday potluck dinner will be held at 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. The Holy Week Service schedule includes a Maundy Thursday service of Holy Communion at 7:30 pm on Thursday and a Good Friday service of reflection and darkness at 7:30 pm on Friday. On Saturday evening the senior youth will have a lock-in and begin preparation for the Easter breakfast that will be served after the 7:30 am early service on Easter morning.

On Palm Sunday all the children will be worshiping with their parents at the 10 am service and will stay until they recess singing “Sing Hosanna” at the close of the service. Both the Rev Steven Gordon, senior minister, and the Rev Janice Touloukian, associate minister, will lead the service. “His the Scepter” will be the anthem by the Senior Choir with Chris Benson on the trumpet and Tim Cardosa on the tympani. Mary Andreotta will be directing the anthem with Philip Crevier at the organ. Lenten programs will continue this week with Bible Study at 7:30 pm on Wednesday and with guided meditations at the same time on Tuesday. Maundy Thursday, April 20, the Office of Tenebrae will be celebrated at 8 pm in the sanctuary. “’Tis Midnight” will be the anthem with Sharon Goodkowsky singing the solo. Both ministers and lay minister Edwin Corfey will be leading the service; Mr Crevier and Mrs Andreotta will be leading the music.
