New Morning's Earth Day Means Sustainable Agriculture
New Morningâs Earth Day Means Sustainable Agriculture
WOODBURY â New Morning Natural & Organic will host its 11th Annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 23, from 11 am to 4 pm. The celebration will be at the store, 738 Main Street South (Route 6, in Middle Quarter Mall) in Woodbury.
This yearâs theme is âSustainable Agriculture.â Store employees will be joining hundreds of exhibitors outdoors and under tents to offer visitors samples of the latest and best in all foods natural and organic. There will also be live music, games for kids, holistic practitioners who will talk about how to stay healthy, and local non-profit, organizations talking about their mission to help the earth stay healthy.
Earth Day means great food and good conversation with like-minded people who believe in a healthy lifestyle. Sustainable agriculture ensures delicious and highly nutritious food for our bodies, the natural enrichment and protection of soil, water and other natural resources, and a thriving, local, rural economy. It implies the use of an ecology-based production system that meets present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.
In addition to the Earth Day Celebration events, New Morning has already begun running a raffle, with four prizes: a complete organic bath and bedding set; a full season (June to October) of tasty, fresh-picked certified organic vegetables from New Milfordâs Fort Hill Farm; dinner for six by New Morningâs Chef Carol; and a brand new Schwinn Hybrid bike.
No purchase is necessary. Official entry forms are available now at New Morning, and the contest will end on April 23 at 4 pm, with the conclusion of the Earth Day Celebration.
All store purchases made at New Morning are good toward chances for many additional raffles held on Earth Day, including bountiful baskets of luxurious bath products, free massage and health treatments.
