Middle School Students Participate In State Music Festivals

Newtown Middle School students recently represented the school at two state regional music festivals.

On March 19, Seventh Grade Concert Band students Julie Faxon, Sophia Kennen, and Madeline Marlin, Eighth Grade Concert Band student Gabi Perpinand, Jazz Band students Matt Ingwersen, Richie Sadlon, and Joey Whelan, chorus students Sean Dalton, Michael Eisele, Max Galassi, Jessica Nguyen, Megan Primavera, Jenna Siroky, and Katie Wolff all performed at the Western Region Middle School Festival at Western Connecticut State University.

In addition, eighth grade violinist Anna Pinckney, eighth grade violist Sara Lampel, eighth grade cellist Nathyn Horvath, seventh grade violinists Gemma Hyeon and Samuel Omaley, and seventh grade violist Emma Tallon performed at the 37th Annual Fairfield County String Festival on March 26, also at Western Connecticut State University.
