Attention Deficit Disorder

And Your Child

NEW MILFORD — “ADD & Your Child” will be held on Tuesday, April 18, at 6:45 pm at the New Milford Hospital Robinson conference rooms with pediatrician Evan Hack, MD.

If you child is easily distracted, displaying bursts of temper, impulsive, hyperactive, or overactive, you might question whether it is Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). ADD is characterized by the inability to sustain focused attention and, in most cases, these behaviors are noticed before the child is seven years old. Because of the structure of schools, teachers are often the first ones to notice a child having trouble.

During his presentation Dr Hack will provide information on what to look for in these children and how to approach diagnosis and treatment. Because not all children displaying these symptoms have ADD, he will also discuss the importance of consulting with a competent healthcare professional for diagnosis.

This program is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is requested by calling 860/350-7215.
