New Catalog
WATERBURY â The latest edition of the Connecticut Light and Power Companyâs (CL&P) SmartLiving catalog is being mailed this week to customers, featuring hundreds of energy-efficient products and tips on how to save money while decorating your home in style.
In addition to modern energy-saving lighting fixtures and bulbs for indoor and outdoor use, the new catalog features more Energy Star-rated products, introduces six new table lamps and also highlights water-saving devices, radios and flashlights that are powered by hand cranking (no batteries or electricity required), and an array of other convenience products priced at exceptional value.
CL&P receives no profits from any of the products in the catalog. âWe negotiate with suppliers to arrange for the most affordable prices, and in some cases a productâs costs are underwritten through energy conservation monies funded through customersâ monthly bills. We encourage customers to take advantage of these offers,â said residential team leader Cheryl Mattison.
CL&P also promotes energy-saving opportunities at the SmartLiving Center in Newington. The Center, open since October 1999, is a one-stop location for information on energy conservation programs, rebates, and building designs and techniques. Open to anyone interested in learning about saving energy, the center showcases stylish, easy-to-live-with energy efficient products in practical home settings.
