Dear Mr Martin,

On behalf of all the girls in the Senior Basketball League, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your time and effort in making the league such a success.

In 1999, we started a new program with five teams and a great deal of hope for an exciting, fun filled, competitive experience for all high school girls who wished to participate. Needless to say, we had a blast! This year, we were able to add a sixth team and we had another great season.

The idea of a senior league for the girls had been put forth in prior years, but unfortunately it never came to fruition. Without your dedication, hard work, love of the game, and never ending concern to provide such a program, the concept could not have become a reality.

As team captains, we speak for all of the girls in saying: “Thank you so much. It’s been a whole lot of fun.”
