Subdivision Hearing To Resume
Subdivision Hearing To Resume
A Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) public hearing on the proposed 21-lot Newtown Hunt residential subdivision in Hawleyville is scheduled to resume at 8 pm Thursday, April 20, at the town land use office at Canaan House at Fairfield Hills.
P&Z members have been reviewing revised plans for Newtown Hunt, which is proposed by a major home developer for a broad, wet area in Hawleyville.
Toll Brothers, Inc., wants to build the houses on 114 acres lying west of Hawleyville Road and east of Farrell Road. Almost half of the site is wetlands.
The Toll Brothersâ development application for Newtown Hunt was the subject of a P&Z public hearing March 16 at which P&Z members reviewed reports from town staff members, who found numerous deficiencies with the development application.
P&Z members have been reviewing Toll Brothersâ responses to those criticisms.
The P&Z also will conduct a public hearing April 20 on Toll Brothersâ application to build a pond and construct more than 2,500 feet of roadway on the site.
