Wild Connecticut Day At Beardsley Zoo

BRIDGEPORT — Beardsley Zoo has long been known as a place to see exotic animals, but on Wild Connecticut Day – Saturday, April 22 – from noon to 3 pm, the animals of Connecticut will be the subject of celebration. It’s a day of double celebration because it’s also Earth Day.

The zoo will be hosting several talks and animal presentations about the wildlife of our state, there’ll be some eco-friendly giveaways and crafts for the kids. The zoo’s popular “Un-Nature trail” will be back, and zoo volunteers will be on hand to involve visitors in learning how they can make a difference for wildlife in their own back yards.

Regular zoo admission of $6 an adult and $4 a child will apply on Wild Connecticut Day. For more information call the zoo info line at 203/394-6565 or check out the zoo Web site at www.beardsleyzoo.org. Beardsley Zoo, at 1875 Noble Avenue, is a few minutes from I-95 and/or the Route 25 Connector; signs are posted.
