Beginning this month, the Newtown Soccer Club will be offering free training sessions for all athletes (boys and girls) registered in E and F divisions.

Beginning this month, the Newtown Soccer Club will be offering free training sessions for all athletes (boys and girls) registered in E and F divisions.

The sessions will be held at the Middle School on Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on April 14, 28 and May 5, 12, 19 and 26.

Also, the soccer club will be offering free goalkeeper clinics for boys and girls registered in F, E and CD in-house divisions. Travel players in U-10, U-11 and U-12 are also invited to attend the goalkeeping clinic.

George Kostelis, women’s assistant coach at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, will provide the training for the goalie clinic, which sessions being held at St. Rose from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 11, 16, 18, 23 and 25. A second session is being held for players in the U-13 travel through high school on the same dates from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
