BERLINER-GELFANI YANKEES 10, NEWTOWN CAR WASH 9: The Yankees used a seven-run rally in the final inning to steal a victory from the Car Wash. Jim Wilkins powered the rally with a three-run triple. Wilkins also made several fine plays at first. Croy Carlin struck out six batters over three innings of work while Daniel Murdock finished the game allowing just two walks. Jackson Blawie made a superb running catch in centerfield. For the Car Wash, Bill Manville and Brian Pennarola had two hits apiece (one was a double for Brian). Mark Doherty was solid on defense and Ricky Andrews was strong on the mound, whiffing nine batters in four innings of work.

BRAUTIGAM LAND SURVEYORS 7, LEXINGTON GARDENS 6: Brian Fazekas rapped out the game-winning hit to lead Brautigam. Kevin Regan had a pair of RBI and Bobby Grauer scored three runs to power the offense. Sean Myslewski and Stefan Poulin pitched well while Robert DeFliippe and Jeremy Currier led the D. For Lexington, Jeff Peterson, Owen Kessler, Tony Gallucci, and Greg Berden all played well.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

 

GRAHAM PAINTING TIGERS 14, A&D SPORTS 6: Kevin Silber was 3-for-4 with a triple while Stephen Moulthrop, Ryan McGrath and Tucker Kass all helped key an 11-hit attack. Jake Putnicki and Ryan McGrath combined on the mound while Matt Berquist and Jason Pankowski played well behind the plate. For A&D, Alex Meisel was 2-for-3, Aron Fay was solid at the plate, Jesse Furphy played well at shortstop, and Joe Bowen pitched out of a bases loaded, no-out jam.

FIRESIDE INN 8, UNION SAVINGS 5: Shane Huebner doubled and Scott Suhoza rapped out a pair of singles to lead Fireside to the win. Jeff Fulton turned in an unassisted double play in the field while Ryan Martin was also strong on defense. Brian Fogelstrom and Mike Tibbets pitched well. For Union Savings, Drew Adamek had a pair of hits while Max Rojo and Mike Hennessey played well.
