John Lee To Hold

Two Workshops For Healing

WEST REDDING — Author John Lee will offer two events in Connecticut this spring. On Friday, May 5, at the Unitarian Church in West Redding, Mr Lee will present a lecture and facilitate a discussion on creating more passion, energy, and possibilities in one’s life, by resolving life’s unfinished business. The Unitarian Church is located at 9 Picketts Ridge Rd and the lecture will be from 7 to 9 pm. Cost is $15 per person or $25 per couple.

On Saturday, May 6, at Island Retreat Center in New Milford, Mr Lee will then lead an all-day workshop called “Facing the Fire.” Cost is $75 per person, or $125 per couple, and the workshop will begin at 10 am and continue to 5:30 pm. Call 778-4393 for directions to the retreat center.

Although the subject matter of his books, tapes, lectures, and workshops is serious, Mr Lee approaches them with a wonderful sense of humor in a language that anyone can understand. The method Mr Lee uses in his lectures to facilitate people in getting in touch with themselves is truly miraculous, yet grounded in simple ideas, exercises, and concepts that anyone can learn. The information and experiences gained by his teachings is useful to everyone, regardless of background.

Mr Lee is one of America’s leading authorities in the fields of personal growth, men’s issues, relationships, and creativity. His style of down-to-earth presentation is humorous, entertaining, and profoundly insightful.

Mr Lee came to national prominence along with Robert Bly for his groundbreaking work with men. He has been featured in The New York Times and Newsweek, with numerous television appearances on Oprah Winfrey, PBS, CNN, and MSNBC. He will be featured in an article to be published in the June issue of Vogue.

In the tradition of Mark Twain and Will Rogers, Mr Lee talks to both women and men throughout the United States and Europe on a variety of issues. His talks and workshops are earning him a well-deserved reputation for being one of America’s greatest humorists and a leader in the field of psychology, spirituality, and creativity.

Both events are being sponsored by Return to the Fire, an organization committed to men’s healing and growth. Contact Jody Grose at 778-4393 to register for the lectures or for more information on the upcoming weekend workshops.
