Theresa M. âTerryâ Scinto, 65, of Winter Springs, Fla., formerly of Newtown, died suddenly on Sunday, April 16, 2000, in Manchester, Tennessee. She was the wife of the late Frank D. Scinto.
Born on April 12, 1935, in Bridgeport, Mrs Scinto was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Mary Capozzi Del Mastro.
 She was a customer service representative for Connecticut National Bank in Danbury for 15 years. Along with her husband, Mrs Scinto owned and operated the Newtown Package Store for 10 years before moving to Florida.
She was a member of the Newtown Chapter of Alhambra and the Epilepsy Association of Florida.
Mrs Scinto is survived by her children, Frank J. Scinto and Mary Van Oyan, both of Florida; sisters, Elinor Hill and her husband, Harry of Woodbridge, Agnes Murch of Glastonbury, and Rosemary Chiappa and her husband, James of Trumbull; brother-in-law, Dr Lawrence Scinto and his wife, Joyce, of Florida. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Jessica, Cassie, and Meghan Van Oyan of Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Rte 111), Monroe, on April 20, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown. Interment followed in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
