To the Newtown Service Unit Girl Scout Leaders and Volunteers,

National Volunteer Week was April 9 through 15, 2000. Girl Scout Leaders across the nation will be celebrating Girl Scout Leaders Day on April 22nd. Girl Scout Leaders and Volunteers have been a valuable part of the Girl Scout Program since scouting began in 1912.

Our Girl Scout Leaders and Volunteers put in a great deal of time and effort to put forth the best programs they can for the girls in our troops. Thanks to their volunteering to lead troops and run programs, the Newtown Service Unit has one of the best Girl Scout Programs there is.

We would like to thank our leaders and volunteers who unselfishly give their time so the girls in Newtown have Girl Scout Troops to belong to and programs that enrich them. You are truly appreciated.
