DANBURY — Members of the Danbury Community Orchestra will be featured in a recital on Sunday, April 30 at 3 pm, in the Marian Anderson Recital Hall of Danbury Music Centre, at 256 Main Street.

Because it is a community orchestra, Danbury Community Orchestra is host to musicians throughout the greater Danbury area. Among its members are Ben Kugielsky, Rebecca Mitchell, and Christina and James Palmer of Newtown. From Sandy Hook, DCO members include Rebecca Carleton, Warren Condit, Robert Harris, Paul R. Heetmann, Davina LaRondelle, Kate Morrissey, Joel Romanelli, Jay Romanelli and Rachel Romanelli.

Richard Brooks, the music director and conductor of Danbury Community Orchestra, has arranged a varied program of string ensembles, flute duos and trios, traditional folk harp music and other combinations of classical and contemporary music.

Performing music of Beethoven, Hindemith, Vivaldi, Dohnanyi and others will be the violinists Christina Palmer, Heming Xu, Justin Stone, Alexandra Schlicht and Bonnie Alger; pianist Steve Isaacson; flutists Carol Pierce, Kathleen Olsen, Valerie Herstatt, Matt Stempson and Colleen Morris; and cellist Ethan Winer. Also, Dianne Wilson will perform traditional and folk harp melodies.
