Family Pizza Night Set For May 2

The 9th Annual Family Pizza Night to benefit the Family Counseling Center will be held Tuesday, May 2, from 5 pm to 8 pm. This pizza lover’s extravaganza will take place at the Newtown High School cafeteria. The event is sponsored by Newtown Savings Bank.

The Family Counseling Center would like to use Family Pizza Night as a reminder that one of the simplest and most effective solutions to the widest variety of teen and adolescent problems is the family meal.

Family Pizza Night features pizzas donated from restaurants in Newtown, Danbury, Southbury, Brookfield, Bethel, and Monroe. Specialty pizzas as well as cheese pizzas will be offered for the “all you can eat” price of $6 per person over 12 years of age. Children 5 to 12 are $5. Children 4 and under eat free. Soda will be available for purchase.

The event’s sponsor, Newtown Savings Bank, is providing a clown and face painting to entertain children. Over 700 people are expected to attend, and over 300 pizzas will be served. “This is such a fun event, and families with children of all ages get to enjoy a dinner out,” notes Lisa Buccino, co-chair of the event. “I hope everyone will mark their calendars and come out to support the Family Counseling Center.”

The Family Counseling Center is a nationally accredited non-profit, mental health counseling agency, serving Greater Danbury and Southbury.
