Kindness To Animals

To the Editor:

I would like to thank the kind hearted woman in the SUV who saved a rather large bird in the middle of the road on the morning of April 11 around 8:15. It was right by the Exit 11 entrance ramp and traffic was very congested.

As I sat at the traffic light, I was able to witness her pick up the injured bird using a plastic bag and put it in her car to safety.  The bird was scared and certainly, if it wasn't for its rescuer, it  would have been hit again.

I sat there and cried. I cried because I was so happy to see the act of kindness she made in helping a defenseless animal. Thank you whoever you are. Thank you for being a wonderful role model for those of us that witnessed your compassion and all who will read this. Thank you God for giving you the ability to see value in its life.

If anyone sees an animal in need and you don't know what to do, please call or bring the injured animal to Wildlife in Crisis located in Weston 203-544-9913.
