Board Of Realtors Conducting Animal Shelter Donation Drive
Newtown Board of Realtors is conducting a Newtown Animal Shelter Donation Drive in conjunction with the upcoming Strutt Your Mutt Dog Walk. The latter is an annual event presented by Newtown Parks & Recreation.
Through Saturday, May 14, the public is invited to donate items at any of five participating locations in town: Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, 84 South Main Street; Coldwell Banker Realty, 32 Church Hill Road; Keller Williams Real Estate, 19 Church Hill Road; Re/Max Right Choice, 43 South Main Street; William Raveis Real Estate, 14 Church Hill Road;
Donations are also being collected at William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, 112 Federal Road in Danbury.
Requested donations include wet and dry dog and cat food, and supplies including Swiffer wet jet pads, cat litter, paper towels, dish soap, black garbage bags, dog beds, and toys including Kongs and Nylabones.

The Board of Realtors drive is ongoing through Friday, May 13, at the above locations.
On Saturday, May 14, final donations will be accepted at Strutt Your Mutt, presented on the Fairfield Hills campus, Primrose Street. The event runs from 11 am until 2 pm. The Board of Realtors will have a professional photo booth set up during the event.
Admission to Strutt Your Mutt is $10 per dog. All dogs must be on a lead (no Flexi leads).
The event offers a 2K walk, vendors, contests, games, and more. It serves as a fundraiser for Newtown Park & Bark, the town’s off-lead dog park.
