Mark A. Grayek

Mark A. Grayek, 45, of Narrowsburg, N.Y., formerly of Fairfield, died April 10 in Westchester Medical Center following a long illness.

He was the uncle of David Stendahl of Newtown.

Born in Scranton, Penn., on February 28, 1955, Mr Grayek was the son of the late Florian Edward Grayek and Rose Grayek of Monroe. Mr Grayek worked as a car salesman and manager for numerous automotive dealers in New York and Connecticut. He was an avid golfer and water sportsman.

Besides his mother, Mr Grayek is survived by his devoted sisters, Arlene Hassell and her husband, Walter, of Seymour, and Shirley Gallagher of Westport; another nephew, Jason McCleod of Texas; nieces, Debra Hassell of Thomaston, Sheryl Socha of Beacon Falls, Michelle Salvati of Derby, and Laurie McLeod of Westport. He is also survived by a loving companion of many years, Barbara Bevis of Eldred, N.Y.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe, on Saturday, April 29, at 9:30 am. Interment will directly follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
