Rose Klesitz

Rose Klesitz, 72, wife of the late Victor Klesitz, died April 25 in Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Fla. A former resident of Newtown, Mrs Klesitz had resided in Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., since 1988.

She was born in Bridgeport April 22, 1928. She was last employed at the Curtis Packaging Company in Sandy Hook. She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indian Harbor Beach.

She is survived by three sons, Edward Lucas and his wife, Sandra, of Newtown, and John and Paul Lucas of Shelton; two brothers, Dominic Smeraglino of Shelton and Anthony Smeraglino of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla.; five sisters, Carmela Amabile of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., Sophie and Jennie Falzarano, both of Bridgeport, Esther Heron of Monroe, and Nancy Lauro of Trumbull; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered for Mrs Klesitz on April 27 at Holy Name of Jesus Church. A prayer service will be held at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Saturday, April 29, at 10:30 am. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 am. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Contributions in her memory may be made to American Diabetics Association, 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT.
