Join The Clean Energy Program

As a member of Newtown’s Sustainable Energy Commission, I would like to take this opportunity to share some information regarding our Clean Energy Community sign up campaign, “Strive for Five.” Thanks to over 350 Newtown residents, and a number of local businesses, Newtown has a 7kW solar system on the roof at Reed school, a system which has generated over $1,600 in savings for energy costs. For every 100 residents who sign-up, an additional 1kW system will be added. In April, we are “striving” to reach 500 sign-ups.

I hope that you will take the time to visit our website www.gogreennewtown.com or look at our displays around town for more information and consider signing up for Newtown’s Clean Energy Program. Each person truly makes a difference, and we all benefit as a community!
