Newtown High Track Teams Win Meets

Newtown High School’s girls’ and boys’ outdoor track and field teams both competed in four-team meets this week. The boys came out on top against all three opponents at Blue and Gold Stadium on April 25, as follows: Newtown 77, New Milford 72; Newtown 128, Notre Dame 4; Newtown 99, Joel Barlow 42. The girls defeated two of three schools, losing only to host Joel Barlow of Redding on April 26. Results are as follows: Barlow 106, Newtown 44; Newtown 80, New Milford 70; Newtown 150, Notre Dame 0.

The boys will host Pomperaug, Oxford, and New Fairfield at 4 pm on May 2.
