Robert Gerald Bohn

US Naval Air Corps World War II Veteran

Robert Gerald Bohn, 86, of Vero Beach, Fla., previously of Redding, died April 23, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Fla. He was born April 9, 1925, in Port Washington, N.Y.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jackie Bohn of Vero Beach, Fla.; three children, including daughters, Cynthia B. Robertson of Newtown; nineteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr Bohn received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth, and his career led him to become chief executive officer and chairman of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corp in Danbury. Instrumental in the founding of the Redding Boys’ Club, he was a founder of the Redding Country Club and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sebastian, Fla.

After a memorial service in Florida, a funeral will be held in New Hampshire on April 30. A memorial service will also be held at Calvary Independent Baptist Church of West Redding, Sunday, May 1, at 6 pm.

Contributions may be made to the church in lieu of flowers.
