DAR To Host Barrie Kavasch Talk
NEW MILFORD â The Roger Sherman Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution will host a Chapter Day meeting and luncheon on Tuesday, May 9, at Candlewood Valley Country Club. The meeting will begin at 11 am.
A luncheon of garden salad, cider-braised chicken breast with apples, vegetable medley, wild rice, and sorbet with fresh fruit will be served at 12:15 pm. Reservations may be made by calling Jennie Rehnberg at 860/354-6842 or by sending a $15 check made out to Treasurer, Roger Sherman Chapter, and mailing to 65 Tanguay Road, Kent, CT 06757.
Guest speaker E. Barrie Kavasch, a noted author/artist and herbalist, will discuss her book American Indian Healing Arts: Herbs, Rituals, and Remedies for Every Season of Life. There will be a book signing after her discussion, which will begin at 1:30.
