Frank Runyeon To Perform ‘Sermon On The Mount’

WASHINGTON, CONN. — Television actor Frank Runyeon will perform the Sermon on the Mount on Friday, May 12, at 7:30 pm at the First Congregational Church in Washington, Conn.

Known for his performances on such television series as General Hospital, As the World Turns, Santa Barbara, Falcon Crest, Another World, Melrose Place, and LA Law, Frank Runyeon received a bachelor’s degree in religion from Princeton University. He studied at Fuller Seminary and Yale Divinity School before receiving his master’s degree, with honors, from General Theological Seminary. He is studying for a doctorate while touring with five productions: The Sermon on the Mount; Afraid! The gospel of Mark; Life-or-Death! The Gospel of John; What Are You Doing? The Letter of James; and The 3½ Stories of Christmas.

The May 12 performance will be held in the church at 6 Kirby Road off Route 47 South. All proceeds will benefit the Healing Mission at the Oratory of the Little Way.

Tickets are $25 per adult, $15 for youths ages 12 to 18. Tickets are $35 for the performance and a post-performance reception. Call the Oratory of the Little Way at 860/354-8294 to reserve tickets.

The Oratory of the Little Way was established in 1965 and includes an eight-bed retreat house and chapel.
