The boys, after losing 12-5 at Joel Barlow of Redding on April 24, came home and doubled up East Lyme 8-4 at Blue & Gold Stadium two days later to improve to 5-2.

In the win over Ridgefield, the girls led just 6-4 at halftime before pulling away. Newtown goaltender Kyle Dandrea stopped five shots.

In their loss to the Falcons, the boys got three goals off the stick of Deegan Beauchemin, and two from Jake Ball. Alec Beauchemin, Bubba Condon, and Brad Kretz all had a goal and an assist, and Ryan Sullivan added an assist.

Against East Lyme, Ball led the way with a hat-trick, and Jared Pearson added two net-finders. Alec Beauchemin registered a goal and two assists, Logan Walsh scored a goal, and Condon also found the net. Cameron Partrick scooped nine of the team’s 43 ground balls.
