The third annual St Rose Festival Chorus and Orchestra presented “Song of the Shadows,” under the direction of Joseph J. Jacovino, Jr, at the church on Palm Sunday, April 13.

The program included a cantata by the Rev Joseph M. Marti, with narration by Pamela Martin, and n and selections by Bach, Brahms, Faure, Mozart, and Palestrina.

“One of the nicest aspects of this program is that it [gave] me an opportunity to work with many talented singers from many ecumenical avenues,” Mr Jacovino said. “Many of thes people sing in church choirs and choral groups throughout this part of the state.”

The narrator for the evening was John Cizik.

In the photos, Mr Jacovino conducted the chorus and the 25-piece orchestra while Frank VonOy sang a solo. Mr Jacovino played the church’s new highly polished piano.
