Thomas J. Hardiman Jr, 82, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Lynn Chase Hardiman, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, son of the late Thomas J. Hardiman Sr and Anna Hardiman, Tom had been a Bridgeport City resident before moving to Shelton 40 years ago.

Tom had worked as the owner of Hardiman Drilling Company until his retirement. He enjoyed boating with his family aboard his cabin cruiser, the Himself, especially his trips to Block Island, Rhode Island. Tom was a life member of Miamogue Yacht Club, where he would enjoy an occasional Schaefer with his friends sharing his boating knowledge.

He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Hardiman III of Seymour; daughters Eileen Hardiman of Shelton and Catherine Hardiman of Milford; as well as his grandchildren, Samantha, Thomas Hardiman the fourth, Andrew, Ryan, Colin and James.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 7, at 10 am, directly at St Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue in Shelton, with burial to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 6, from 4-7 pm, at The Frank Polke & Son Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield.
