KENT, CONN. — The Gregory James Gallery will present a group exhibit, “All about Hue,” at the Kent Town Center, May 12–July 1. An opening reception will be Saturday, May 12, 3 to 5 pm.

The exhibition features five artists whose works abound in contemporary and color palettes: Ralph Della-Volpe, Christopher Magadini, Frank Federico, Michael Patterson and introducing Brian Kiernan.

Millbrook, N.Y., artist Della-Volpe creates harmonies of light, color and space, ranging from richly hued interiors, landscapes, to his beach series and figurative paintings.

Magadini is a contemporary impressionist, who works with a rich, painterly surface.

“Jazz has always inspired me — it has influenced the style, timing, rhythm and improvisation of my art,” said Frank Federico.

Patterson of Roxbury, Conn., works in a bold and colorful manner with variety of medium, including oil, watercolor, block prints and sculpture.

Rising painter from Hadley, Mass., Brian Kiernan creates large-scale forest landscapes that are contemporary.

The Kent Town Center is at 25 North Main Street. For information, Sheila Tintera Kobayashi at 860-927-7133 or www.gregoryjamesgallery.com.
