Newtown Middle School celebrated the school’s administrative staff in recognition of Administrative Professionals Day on Wednesday, April 23.

Administrative Professionals Day is observed annually on the Wednesday of the last full week in April, and recognizes the work of administrative assistants, as well as receptionists, secretaries, and others.

NMS administrative staff Jennifer DiLorenzo, Sandy Hannan, Jennifer Kraemer, Julie Mauri, Lisa Petrovich, and Sue Zimmerman felt the love that day. They received potted tulips from the school’s PTA and fun gifts from other staff and friends. NMS PTA President Heymi Colon even provided the administrative staff sparkling silver tiaras to take a special photo together.

NMS PTA Vice President Jessie Kenney said that the school’s PTA could not do “any of what we do without these amazing women.”

“They do so much that nobody sees or even knows what they all take care of,” Kenney said that Wednesday. “They are certainly special ladies, and we hope that they feel much appreciated and like royalty today.”
