A Job Well Done
A Job Well Done
To the Editor:
Last week, while the most eighth graders were on a field trip to Washington and Gettysburg, almost 500 incoming seventh graders attended an orientation program here at Newtown Middle School. Many of the eighth grade students who did not attend the trip volunteered to be tour guides for the younger students during those three days.
I would want their parents and the community to know what an extraordinary job they did. Not only were they prompt and dependable for the job, but also managed large groups of children with firmness and friendliness. They set good examples and had fun with the task. They showed pride in their school. We are proud of them. Many thanks to these eighth graders: Emily Moller and Emily Rowe (our âpanel of expertsâ), Jessalyn Trenk, Chris Miller, Alissa Silber, Jocelyn Toll, Austin Baldour, Samantha Whitley, Emily Audet, Stephanie Gesualdi, Maggie Kearney, KellyAnne Brophy, Sarah Smith, Kelela Wade, Kyle Wildman, Kayla Boland, Alex Prestera, Alyssa Wade, Rachel Mrozinski, Brandon Logel, Felipe Machado, Krista Degenhardt, Steve zVon, Taylor Daniels, and Alan Diaz. Job well done!
