*Still more shows going on sale this weekend: The Warner Theatre in Torrington will welcome Summer of Love 2007 on Saturday, June 30. That show, featuring JEFFERSON STARSHOP, BIG BROTHER & THE HOLDING COMPANY, QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE, ITâS A BIG BAD BEAUTIFUL DAY and The Grateful Deadâs TOM CONSTATEN, will start at 7:30 pm and tickets are $34, $44 and $59, and went on sale Thursday morning (May 3). Warner Theatre members have been able to purchase these tickets since April 20, however, so many of the better seats have already been picked up.

*Apologies to everyone for not being able to get details into last weekâs column about two on-sales that took place last weekend. It wasnât until well after deadline that I heard about VOLUNTEER JAM 2007, which will bring THE CHARLIE DANIELS BAND, THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND and THE OUTLAWS to the Chevrolet Theatre in Wallingford on Saturday, July 28.
Tickets are all priced at $38 and are on sale now.
Also on sale are the tickets for FAMILY VALUES 2007, which will be at Dodge Music Center the following afternoon and evening (the thing will be starting around 2 pm). That show will be headlined by KORN and EVANESCENCE, along with sets by Atreyu, Flyleaf, Hellyeah, Trivium, Neurosonice and Droid. Those tickets are available for $29.50 and $59.50 for the pavilion and just $9.99 for the lawn.
Contact the Chevrolet Theater box office, LiveNation.com or any TicketMaster vendor for tickets to either of these shows (the Dodge Music Centerâs box office hasnât opened for the season, so all ticket sales are still being handled over at the Chevy Theatre).
*Fairfield Theatre Company continues to create interesting music schedules, and this weekend will feature CRAOBH RUE (pronounced âCrave ROO-ahâ), which translates from Irish to âred branchâ and is a name that is well known in Celtic history.
