Health Professionals Invited To Educational Seminar

DANBURY — The Danbury Hospital Center for Advanced Orthopedic Care invites physical therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapy assistants, sports trainers, and other health professionals to attend a free educational seminar Tuesday, May 8, from 5:30 to 9 pm. The event takes place at the Danbury Hospital in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education Auditorium, 24 Hospital Avenue.

Seminar participants will learn about groundbreaking techniques in orthopedics, cutting-edge advances in treatment approaches for joints, spine and sports injuries, and myths and misconceptions regarding treatment and surgical options.

The orthopedic educational seminar begins with registration and a light dinner from 5:30 to 6 pm, followed by welcome and speaker introductions facilitated by Ronald Tietjen, MD, chief of orthopedic surgery at Danbury Hospital and a practicing physician at Danbury Orthopedic Associates.

He also will address “Where is Orthopedic Surgery at Danbury Hospital Today?

“What’s New in ACL Surgery?,” Ross Henshaw, MD, Danbury Orthopedic Associates, director, Sports Medicine Program, The Center for Advanced Orthopedics at Danbury Hospital.

The orthopedic educational seminar will close with a question and answer session and breakouts with the faculty of speakers.
