WMNR 30th Anniversary Celebration Sunday At Edmond Town Hall

On Sunday, May 6, at 3 pm, WMNR Fine Arts Radio will present a concert at Edmond Town Hall in honor of its 30th anniversary.

The station will host a celebratory reception and performances by WMNR broadcasters Will Duchon, Joanne Moryl, Garrett Stack, Diana Blase, Rosalind Friedman, John Ryden and Kurt Anderson. They will be performing music of Chopin, Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” Debussy, Satie, Cole Porter and Leroy Anderson.

There will also be special guest performances by the renowned violinist Alexander Markov, and the Connecticut Choral Society Chamber Singers. Also to be seen is WMNR’s 30th Anniversary Tribute Video by WMNR’s H. William Stine and Megan Stine.

In addition, there were will a celebratory toast with sparkling cider at intermission to mark the public radio station’s 30 years of fine arts radio.

Tickets are $10 and are general seating in the theater of Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

To order tickets online using WMNR’s secure website visit wmnr.org. Ticket orders done through the website will have the tickets held at the box office to be picked up 30 minutes before the start of the concert.

Available tickets will also be sold at the box office Sunday afternoon.
