Arthur Hilario, Jr

Arthur Hilario, Jr, 61, of New Milford, beloved husband of Jenny (Iapaluccio) Hilario, died unexpectedly May 2, in New Haven. He was born in Bridgeport, November 2, 1953, son of the late Silbina (Simoes) and Arthur Hilario. 

In addition to his wife, of 37 years, Jenny, he will be sadly missed by his brother Paul Hilario of Newtown; his two sons, Arthur Virgilio Hilario, and Bradley Michael Hilario along with Catherine Silvestri, all of New Milford; his daughter, Shelby Nicole Newkirk and her husband Ronald of New Milford; his two grandsons, Cameron and Arty Hilario; and his sister, Barbara Iapaluccio and her husband Robert of New Milford. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive him. 

Mr Hilario worked for Hilario’s Service Center in Newtown and Longo Associates. He was an operating engineer for O&G Industries and was a member of the Local Union 478 of Operating Engineers for 30 years. He is remembered as a talented welder and enjoyed fabrication work. Over the years he worked for many area companies, including Dolan Oil, Luke F. Sweeney, and the cable company. 

Mr Hilario enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing golf, spending time with his family and looked forward to going to all NY Giants home games. 

The family will receive friends at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, Friday, May 8, between the hours of 4 and 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 9, at 10 am, at St Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
